Blackbuck Antelope

The most distinctive feature of the blackbuck antelope is the V-shaped horns that corkscrew about 20 inches from the male's head. The mature male is black on his back. In addition to the black body areas, it has conspicuous white accents around its eyes and on its ears, chin, underbelly and rump. These beautiful animals make one of the most sought after mounts because of their distinctive markings and their large horns.
With its wheat fields and food plots, the 4B provides excellent habitat for these spectacular animals. The 4B Ranch has many bucks that are of trophy size. All blinds are located near wheat fields and food plots. Year round feeding, excellent habitat and the personal attention of the 4B Ranch personnel ensure each guest has an excellent opportunity to take one of these fine animals. It is our policy to only book small groups to ensure that all hunters have quality hunting blinds. Hunters will be dropped off and picked up after the hunt. Although these animals can be hunted year round, we recommend that they be hunted in the winter months because that is when their coats are dark and their hides are in the best condition for mounting. Morning hunts start 1 hour before sunrise and last 4 hours or until you harvest an animal. Evening hunts start 2 hours before sunset and last until dark or until you harvest an animal.
